Description

Following their two previous Policy Talks, the two panellists meet again to assess the main lessons from 2022 and look into the year ahead.

Will the ongoing polycrisis result in increased migration and displacement? How many more Ukrainians will be forced to leave their country and how to ensure their adequate reception and wellbeing? What progress to expect on the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum? How to tackle irregular migration flows along various routes? Can migration help to address labour shortages across Europe or shall we rather expect an ever-stronger securitisation of migration policies? What role can migration partnerships play in these challenging times?

Jean-Louis De Brouwer and Ralph Genetzke will try to address some of these questions in a discussion moderated by Malin Frankenhaeuser.
