For the 12th time, ICMPD is proud to announce the organisation of the International Summer School on Migration and invites interested candidates to apply. The summer school is a collaborative effort between the EU-funded project, “Strengthening Development Impact of Migration in Georgia” (STREAMinG 2), and the Prague Process, with both initiatives led by ICMPD.
Set to take place in Armenia from 29 June to 5 July 2025, the Summer School aims to facilitate critical academic exchange and reflection on migration issues. International academic experts from the Migration Observatory at the University of Oxford, University of Sussex, University Leiden, the Maastricht University Graduate School of Governance and ICMPD will lecture and mentor students. They will cover a range of topics, including introduction to migration studies, migration and development, migration and the economy, perception of migrants and media and migration, migration law and human rights. The one-week summer school will feature multidisciplinary and innovative academic and research-oriented lectures, seminars and projects focusing on migration situations and policies in the EU, its Eastern neighbourhood and worldwide. Teaching will be accompanied by research, practical exercises, and interactive discussions.
