4th Core Group meeting of the Prague Process

The 4th Core Group meeting was organised and hosted by the Leading state of Prague Process – Poland, on April 22nd in Warsaw. It gathered representatives of 12 countries (Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Germany, Hungary, Kosovo*, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, Turkey) and ICMPD in its capacity of Prague Process Secretariat.

 

The meeting was dedicated, first and foremost,  to the discussion of midterm evaluation of the Prague Process Action Plan 2012-2016 and preparations for the upcoming Senior Officials’ meeting, that will take place in Budapest on 6-7 July 2015.

During the meeting participants had an opportunity to learn and discuss the main developments and expected results of the Prague Process Targeted Initiate and other projects implementing Prague Process Action Plan 2012-2016, such as the Project ERIS - Development of joint principles, procedures and standards on integration policies between the Russian Federation and European partners. The Prague Process Coordinator, Ms Marika Kosiel, presented the progress of midterm PP evaluation, and the structure of the future Evaluation report.

Further, an overview of the Prague Process Knowledge base, its state of development, outcomes of recent workshop and suggestions, received from PP participating states and partner organisations were presented and discussed.  Last but not least, Hungary, as a country hosting the next SOM, presented the state of preparations towards Senior Officials’, and  Poland provided with information on draft agenda and expected results of the meeting.
