The Senior Officials´ Meeting (SOM) of the Prague Process took place in Budapest on 6-7 July 2015 and gathered 65 participants from 28 countries, the European Commission (DG Home Affairs), Council of the European Union, EASO, Frontex as well as Euromed Migration III, MARRI, UNHCR and ICMPD also in its function of the Prague Process Secretariat.
The SOM, being at the same time the first preparatory meeting for the third Prague Process Ministerial Conference in Bratislava in October 2016, followed the topics indicated in the Road Map towards the Ministerial Conference and focused on the draft Evaluation Report on the implementation of the Action Plan 2012-2016 prepared by a team of internal and external experts, discussed the proposed scenarios for the revision of the Knowledge base concept and listened to the assessment of the current migration situation in various sub-regions of the Prague Process region delivered by ICMPD, MARRI and Frontex.
The next SOM will take place in Prague on 3-4 December 2015. It will revert to the discussion on the Knowledge base revision, is intended to endorse the final report on the Evaluation of the Action Plan implementation and will initiate the work on the document, which will be prepared for endorsement by the Ministers during their conference in October 2016.
