Migration Management Diploma Programme (MMDP) 2025: Now Accepting Applications

The MMDP is a capacity building programme funded by the European Union (EU) through the Migration Partnership Facility (MPF) of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD). The Programme is offered by UNU-MERIT since 2013 and is addressed to government officials and civil servants who are working in migration management in the EU Southern Neighbourhood, Sub-Saharan Africa, Central Asia and Silk Route countries.  

The MMDP 2025 cohort will run from 10 March 2025 until 28 May 2025 in Maastricht, the Netherlands. The call for scholarships is now open. Applications from government officials and civil servants working in migration management are being accepted. Please refer to the brochure available for more information about the programme and the detailed eligibility criteria.

This full-time three-month programme uses various teaching and evaluation methods, including lectures, interactive sessions, and hands-on practical exercises, with a special focus on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method. Moreover, MMDP provides a platform for networking through field trips across Europe. These include tours of Dutch Ministries in The Hague, EU institutions in Brussels, and the UN and other intergovernmental agencies in Geneva. This experience offers participants insights into national, regional, and international perspectives on migration management.
